ASEAN Support Program for GX/DX Human Resource Development

We are delighted to announce that the 3rd call for applications of the subsidy of “ASEAN Support Program for GX/DX Human Resource Development” (hereinafter referred to as the “Subsidy”) has just started. The Subsidy aims to support the trainings for green transformation (hereinafter referred to as “GX”) and digital transformation (hereinafter referred to as “DX”) which are to enhance productivity and reduce greenhouse gas emissions of companies belonging to the Japanese supply chains in the ASEAN region.

Background of the Subsidy

Many Japanese companies have established operations in the ASEAN region, particularly in the manufacturing industry, contributing to economic growth and employment in the region for years. However, due to an escalating complexity of international relations and urgency of climate change, Japanese companies have to upgrade its industrial asset to adapt to the new circumstance. As the result, AMEICC Secretariat has initiated the Subsidy in order to increase global competitiveness and to foster sustainable growth, not only Japanese firms but also local firms must undergo GX and DX at supply chain level through introducing new technologies leading to productivity improvement and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The Subsidy is under fiscal year 2023 supplementary budget “The Program for Human Resource Development of Future Industry in the Global South”.

Overview of the Subsidy

The Subsidy supports initiatives by ASEAN-based training institutions, etc. to conduct human resource development training related to GX and DX in the ASEAN region. Upon fulfillment of the necessary requirements, a portion of the participation fee for Training for Employees certified by the Secretariat* (Certified Trainings) and part of the expenses of Training for Trainers to develop trainers for Certified Trainings will be subsidized to the training institutions, etc.

Open Call Period: From Mon 3rd March 10:00 to Fri 28th March 2025 17:00 (Thai Standard Time)
Submission Method: Must be submitted to the Secretariat via e-mail only【25MB per e-mail is available】
When submitting multiple applications, each file title must be distinct and clearly identifiable.
