SUMMARY
In this session, a presentation focused on the collaboration between AZEC and the Net Zero Hub in driving a pragmatic energy transition to support decarbonization goals in the Asian region. AZEC is designed to facilitate achievable energy transitions considering the unique circumstances of each country. This initiative aims to support decarbonization across the entire Asian region by providing assistance in terms of technology, finance, and human capital, while emphasizing policy coordination. The Net Zero Hub emphasizes collaboration between governments and industries to achieve net-zero targets. They are building a cooperative framework for achieving net-zero by utilizing three frameworks: the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Science-Based Targets, and TCFD.
